The history of Nail Builders
Gary Nail has been in the Construction Industry for over forty years.
His vast experience started with Vocational Building Trades in high school; where he spent time working on local homes in the Permian Basin. Later, after returning from three years in the United States Army, he began a four-year Apprenticeship Program with a prominent local union in Odessa, Texas. There he studied Carpentry, Home Building and Construction Management.
Not soon after this program, Gary found himself working with Area Builders and later with Brown and Root. It was during this period that both companies were top construction firms in Texas. While at Area Builders, Gary worked his way up from Apprentice Carpenter, to full Carpenter status and ultimately became the Carpenter Foreman.
Eventually Gary wanted to branch out and begin his own construction business. In 1975 he enrolled in the Real-Estate program at Odessa College. It was there that he gained the knowledge necessary in understanding the full scope of how the Real Estate and Construction industries pair together. With that knowledge he formed his very own construction business: Nail Builders
In his career, Gary has been involved in countless construction projects ranging from corporate high-rises, to hospitals, to colleges, to airports and even a nuclear power plant. With his education and vast experience, Gary designed Nail Builders to be able to take on large projects; from start to finish. Land development, building design and construction, code compliance, quality control and the management of large-scaled construction crews are the hallmarks of the Nail Builders team.
Nail Builders started in Odessa, Texas, then migrated to the Austin area and now is settled in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. In the North Metro area, we have primarily been building single and multi-family custom homes, but we are both capable and ready to take on most any construction or development project you have in mind.
